Brian Roberts

Brian is one of the few artists I’ve met who studied and received a degree in art. For Brian, art serves as a means of pushing people to think and take action. It has allowed him to share his viewpoint on social and political issues in a manner way that is accessible without moralizing.

 

He is keenly aware of the challenges of making this type of art because it is “not beautiful, it does not speak to aesthetic.  I don’t know about making it aesthetically appealing to people. Some of it might be a bit macabre because of the kind of issues we have to be talking about now.”
